P1 Rm 4 – Term 1 Blog

Term 1 was all about getting to know each other and building relationships in Rm 4. We created a class charter, explored our classroom and school environment and had lots of fun drawing our school building, identifying the many different shapes we could see in our school windows and architecture.

In phonics and numeracy, we have throughly enjoyed learning through an active approach and particulary loved jumping out the sounds to spell and blend words as well as jumping on lily pads to match a dice pattern.

Our shared readers created lots of fantastic discussion in and out of school and we completed tasks around these within class. Rm 4 especially enjoyed creating our very own Rainbow Fish and Shark in the park booklets!

Another exciting Term 1 activity was when we created bird feeders to hang in our wildlife garden! We loved checking on these to see if the birds had tried them!
