Maths Week – Parent visits

A very big thank you to our parents who came in to speak to us about they use maths at home and at work.  On Monday, Ralph’s Mum spoke to us about her work as an engineer.

Yesterday, Mrs Hasan showed us how much maths was needed when baking.  We really enjoyed helping with the demonstration making Mars Bars Slices.  We particularly enjoyed tasting the finished product today!  We also investigated different equipment for weighting and measuring as well as cutting cakes into equal portions.
