Burns day.
We have had a great time today for burns day. We started the day off by having a discussion about Robert Burns and why we celebrate Burns day. The children listened to some Burns poems, ‘To A Mouse’ and ‘To A Louse’ We also listened to ‘Auld Lang Syne’ and ‘O Flower Of Scotland’. They have had a go at making Scottish flags and making up their own style of tartan. They had the chance to try haggis, neeps and tatties for snack. We finished the session with some Scottish dancing and watched some traditional sword dancing, this was lots of fun and the children were great at it.
