Grasshoppers Asda trip. 13th October 2017 KelMacKay We had a great time on our trip to Asda to collect apples. Discussions began after we found a crab apple tree on a nature walk last week. This led to us talking about other types of apples. The children loved travelling on the bus together to get there. Say cheese! On the bus! We got the chance to go upstairs and try on some of the Halloween masks and look at the decorations in preparation for our Halloween party. Happy faces. The children chose their own apple to eat. We talked about the different types on offer and how much they were. They ate them on their return to nursery and watched an interesting video about how apples are transported to the supermarket. They were very responsible and well mannered in and around Asda, making sure they made space for the trolleys and people to pass. They learned about road safety and did really well listening to instructions. Well done everyone. Hope you all have a lovely October break.
