This term we have continued working on spelling and phonics skills, we explored creating mind maps with colour and sketches to support our writing planning, sequencing and ideas. We uplevel our writing by using the thesaurus for interesting adjectives. We regularly work on dictation for our writing mechanics skills…

P6 r19 have had some pupils nominated by their teachers to be involved in social cafe on Fridays – this special time for those nominated allows for snacks and chats with a selected friend each Friday in our R9a ‘cafe’ ! Our talk topics this term have included:

*Best and worst Christmas gifts!

*Favourite foods and drinks

*Favourite computer games

*Favourite activities to do at home and around Aberdeen
