We are continuing our learning on our story of the month (The Gruffalo). We have been learning about the roles of the Author and Illustrator. The children are really getting to grips with the sequence of the story and know all of the characters. Yesterday they collaborated as a team to make their own Gruffalo. Each child took part by adding on a different part of his body. This is now on our display in class, please feel free to take a look.The children have been very creative in the role play corner. We have given them boxes and crates to explore their imaginations. We have had some lovely play being explored from Disneyland to a train and even a jail!This has led on to the children wanting to add colour to their role play corner. Look at their lovely decorated wall! Some of the children wallpapered and painted this all by themselves. Looks like we have some budding interior designers in the making.
Over the last few days we have been taking part in music and movement sessions in class. The children have thoroughly enjoyed this and have asked for their favourite songs at the end of each day. They love the song called A Ram Sam Sam. It gets very fast as it goes on and we are getting to know how to do the sequence of the actions at top speed. Well done everyone!
