Trip and Tea

Trip and Tea

In conjunction with the PTA and our Infant Harvest Assembly we are planning our annual Senior Citizens Trip and Tea. The trip involves a bus trip of the surrounding area with the P7 house captains accompanying them; this is kindly funded by the PTA. When the bus returns they will be taken to the gym hall for some entertainment from a few classes (details to follow) and tea and cake provided by the PTA, they will be looking for home baking donations nearer the time. This part of the afternoon will be raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Look out for any leftover cakes being sold off in the playground at 3.10pm to raise further funds.

Please can you nominate any senior citizen in our local area that you think would enjoy a pleasant afternoon trip on a bus and entertainment (and cake) in school after. We would like to include as many members of our community as possible and will be inviting the local care homes residents to join us. The P7 classes will be busy writing the invites to be sent by post in the next couple of weeks.

We will collect dried food goods and tins as part of our Infant Harvest Assembly and distribute a portion to the Senior Citizens. The remaining donations will go to a local food bank. Details about type of donations required will follow at a later date.

If you think that there is someone who may not be able to attend the trip but would appreciate a food parcel then please indicate this on the nomination form and a food parcel will be sent home with your child after the event for them to deliver to the person.

The Trip and Tea will take place on the afternoon of Friday 6th October.

Please return nominations by reply to the email from broomhill@aberdeencity.gov.uk on the form included by Friday 8th September. Paper copies available at the office if preferred.
